I’m the first to admit that I’m not a fan of reality TV. When I need to relax and clear my mind, my idea of a good time is listening to true crime podcasts (highly recommend My Favorite Murder, That’s Messed Up, True Crime Obsessed) and spending time on my latest jigsaw puzzle. That’s why, when I shared a photo of the Loren Residence in Bermuda to my Instagram stories, I was surprised to receive so many messages from my friends who are fans of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

“THAT’S WHERE THE REAL HOUSEWIVES STAYED!!!!!”

“OMG!! WHOSE ROOM ARE YOU STAYING IN?!”

One of my favorite perks of the job is being able to travel around the world with other travel advisors and visit hotel properties that my clients may like or have already visited. That’s how I ended up at a reality TV famous waterfront mansion. I went to the host of the group who confirmed we were in fact staying in the famous villa from the TV series, and also admitted she had never seen the episodes where the ladies stayed in the residence. That night, we popped a bottle of Dom Perignon (always stocked in the villa’s bar) and binged the three episodes featuring the Loren Residence. (For the record, the episodes where the ladies are in Bermuda are episodes 13-16 from season 4.)

Featured on the episodes:

  • Nanny, the house butler, is the absolute best — he anticipates your every need and makes sure your trip is seamless.
  • We had a private rum tasting with Andrew from Gosling. Did you know a true Dark and Stormy can only be made with Gosling rum?
  • For the record, I stayed in Lisa’s room and it was fabulous.
  • Every room except one has a tub. Sorry, Meredith!
  • Private tennis court (with pickleball equipment) for releasing aggression!
  • Private pool with hot tub and pink sand beach, specifically for the guests of the Residence.
  • GORGEOUS views and all rooms have ocean views with private balconies. The water is truly that clear and blue and the sand is pink. Bermuda has some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen.

What I love about the residence:

  • Even though it’s a mansion (over 10,000 sqft), it felt so cozy. I felt at home and relaxed no matter what activity we were doing.
  • There are so many places to hang out in the Residence — a theater room, an office, living space, outdoor spaces, and more.
  • Each room has its own thermostat, so each guest can set it to the temperature they’re comfortable with.
  • Along with climate control, each room has an ocean view and private balcony. I sat on my balcony working and drinking coffee and I was in heaven.

Who it’s for:

  • Discerning travelers who desire luxury and privacy, and still want resort amenities and close proximity to activities.
  • Multi-generational families
  • Corporate retreats (the staff can set up AV and tables for meetings in multiple spaces)
  • Groups of friends or couples
  • Weddings

Amenities:

  • Private house butler
  • Tennis court (can be transformed into basketball court)
  • Private beach
  • Office
  • Apartment for nanny or staff
  • Private chef (additional cost)
  • Golf carts
  • Private gym
  • Private pool
  • Art collection
  • Outdoor kitchen
  • Non-motorized water sports equipment

In addition to these famous reality stars, the Loren Residence is a popular destination for many other celebrities and tech giants.
